I really like the music casiopea plays. a very interesting genre. not sure if i can call it fusion or not. i dun really know how to classify it, but i do like it alot. akira jimbo, the drummer is very talented; just listening to him play and one would wonder how many limbs has he got. all in all the band is musically outstanding.
then u have The Square, yet another band that shows that they don't lose out. ha. put them together and u get an amazing track. i must thank Randy for lending me his cd...
but then i stumbled upon this...
enjoy,
[P.S: not for those who dun like rock, jazz or loud music.]

many many days later....
The month of October passed really quickly. there were so many happenings that it is difficult to keep up with them.
well, at least i can blog about 1 thing that happened recently. actually, just this morning. my driving test.
i thought that i had been well prepared, but i guess cautiousness is wat i lacked. at least thats wat the result slip shows. before i reveal the score i got, there are somethings that i need to emphasize to those who are going to take their test soon. ENSURE SAFETY BEFORE; MOVING FORWARD and REVERSING. thats just 1 of the many things that i was told. 1 of the many....ha...ok...so my score is a whopping....[drum roll....] 36 points! i m sure many of u are like "wow-ing" behind your computer screen now trying to figure out how that was even possible and glad that your friend didn't pass knowing that if he did he may have caused a major accident in the next few days. ha. i thank all my fans...i mean friends [please laugh...] for their advice and best wishes, its just that i think i need to be alot more cautious and aware. i must say that the parking went rather smoothly. but just that alot of blunders on the looking out for people before the junction, and other random things.
all in all, i m glad i survived the whole test and that nothing terrible happened. ha. no accidents along the road and all. as the saying goes, "live to fight another day"; and indeed, i will return once again on jan the 8th [mark that date down...better stay off the roads...ha] for my 2nd test.
that more or less sums up my driving test adventure.

on 1 Pet 1:1-9
i decided to start writing a journal on what i read during my quiet time, post my thoughts on what i read...
here's todays:
dan
here's todays:
1 Peter 1:1-9
Vs 1-3: Peter addresses the letter to the Christians who were dispersed over a few countries, and establishes the reasons for the letter.
- Dispersed: away from home, far from loved-ones, in a foreign land with out help, dispersed maybe because of their faith [read vs 6-7]
- According to the foreknowledge of God: only God knows the things to come. [On what is our security built on?]
- Sanctification of the Spirit: the Spirit prompts us to be Holy, causes us to flee from sin, are we allowing the Holy Spirit to sanctify us today?
- Obedience to Jesus Christ: have I disobeyed Jesus by not doing or doing something that He says we ought or ought not do?
- Sprinkling with His blood - not sure what to make out of this as yet, need to read more.
Vs 4-9: Peter reminds those who are exiles the hope that is to come and encourages them though they face different trials that it is a test of their genuine faith.
- Peter reminds them of the hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ, that is to come, which is: imperishable, undefiled and unfading. We are being guarded by God’s power through faith for the salvation that is to be revealed in the end.
a thought for us is that while we face trials day to day, do we give up along the way? maybe its time we remember what is it that we suffer for...maybe its time we ought to look back at the reason why we go through through trials and endure it. the hope that is to come should be our motivation for us to press on in our trials.

brunei day 1
Brunei here we come...
earlier yesterday we arrived at brunei after a safe but bumpy 3 hour flight from sg. we checked into our "hotels" shortly after unloading and briefing.after briefing i was very happy to find out the internet was up and running, whoopie!
the accomodation looks similar to a certain facility back home, the beds are spring matteress leh! don't play play...ha. theres a pantry in the room for us to cook our supper. the fridge in the pantry is loaded with packs of sausages!! the amount is like how u all prepare for BBQ kind? yeah but alot alot more!! haha...so looks like all our maggi mee late night supper will be coupled with lots of sausages. toilets are just next to the pantry, so eat already can go do business...ha...sorry, don't mean to be gross. theres washing machines around too, just that i don't know where they are yet...ha. theres a soccer field outide the rooms and it seems that they hold annual soccer meets here.
all about Brunei...
Brunei is rather similar to singapore. same exchange rate, same time zone, same road signs [just that now its in malay] etc etc. i must say the pace is alot slower, a notable difference is that road users who are in a hurry in sg flash their head lamps to ask the car in front to move to the left lane or speed up; here, they flash to give way to the car in front! hows that for a change. i don't get to see much around here but there are lots and lots of mega supermarkets, little towns and roundabouts. the food here is generally similar to sg. i took some pictures yesterday over dinner. will try to post if i can find someone who has a cable to spare.
we went to buy groceries just now, was told that "Sehat" mineral water is the best there is, lol...water here needs to be filtered in order to drink, so we figured we'd buy 2 cartons of 1.5L water bottles instead...28 bottles for 6 of us should suffice the week...the rest we can take from water cooler. things here aren't the cheapest, especially when the exchange rate is the same, so food may cost slightly more.
"work, work..."
work officially begins today, the 5th for me. looks like theres going to be longer working hours too. things are different too...like the procedures and all...lots to keep in mind.
missing home already
won't be able to call home in a long time, the rate is rather costly, a whopping $2 per min...unless i buy the phone home card which will bring it down to a more reasonable price...may just consider sharing to buy a card with the guys here.
well, thats all for yesterday...been reading 1 pet and will be posting my thoughts on that shortly. missing all of u at home.

Why did i even bother?
I really don't know why i started writing a blog...perhaps its a good way to jot down my thoughts, or I wanted a space where others can see what I have been up to lately, I sure theres got to be many other reasons.
But I must say its fun to just keep writing over and over again...ha. well, in the next few days i might just explore into making this space more interesting.
But for now, its going to be this bare, so please pardon the lack of posts.
